nokia n-gage

I won a competition and had the chance to join the n-gage event last Thursday (04.09.03) at the Rohstofflager, Zürich. Long time ago a had aces as a VIP to a event like this. Because of this my expectations where something like (let's go and get surprised).

It started already at the entrance.
I told the lady at the ticket counter that I got a mail with the information that a won the competition from the nokia website which is 2 VIP passes for the event with dinner. She could not find me on the list, after talking with another girl (probably the master of entrance) I finally got my 2 passes. This was maybe part of the competition?!

At around 07:30 PM they started with a presentation.
1. Michael Gubelmann (Entertainment und Media Manager, Nokia Mobile Phones Schweiz & Österreich)
2. Heikki Tarvainen (Managing Director, Nokia Mobile Phones Schweiz & Österreich)
3. Peter Wippermann (Gründer Trendbüro Hamburg und Univ.-Prof. für Kommunikationsdesign in Duisburg/Essen)

I was wondering because nobody listened to the presentations, and I mean nobody. All the VIP's where still happy to meet each other once again at a place you get beer and champagne for free.
Therefore I post you the link to the presentations,
you will find all the necessary information about the nokia n-gage like:
Available in Switzerland at the 7. of October for CHF 448.-
A Game will cost between CHF 58.- and 78.-

At the event there were some guys walking around with the N-Gage, asking people to have a look and try it out. It just turned out, that these guys never before got in contact with the series 60 platform from nokia because they could show you nothing but playing games (and only one by one, not n-gage linked together which is the idea of n-gage gaming). I could manage it to get a Bluetooth connection with a n-gage and sneak out one of the desktop pictures you will get with this nokia.
n-gage

The last highlight was that everybody became a nokia bogy board which is something really useful if you live in Switzerland and (summer is just over).

PS: It may give you a bad image of the n-gage by reading this. That is not my intention, over all I have to say that I really enjoyed the night and the n-gage is a nice phone with some potential.
