MetaWeblog API support for BxCMS Blog

What started with a Saturday afternoon hack ended quite well last night (naaah, didn't code all the time ;) ). BxCMS now has MetaWeblog API via XML-RPC support. In fact, I'm writting this from ecto, quite a cool weblog client for OS X (also available for Windows, AFAIK). BxCMS supports also some of the MT extensions, more support for that will come, when we need it.

I mainly implemented XML-RPC support for basing our upcoming "distributed" (buzzword alarm) moblog tool on this. Watch this space for more about that soon.

Another client for OSX is MarsEdit, although looks currently less powerful than ecto, but it's only in beta.

I can now also blog from my Palm with mo:blog, even uploading images works. Would be quite a decent moblogging-by-email replacement, but I'm currently not sure, if it's worth the 12 bucks. (ecto and MarsEdit are also payware, but MarsEdit came with my NetNewsWire license)

Ah neat, one more blog system I can add to ecto's list of supported systems!
