The Swiss main news broadcast "Tagesschau" aired a 2 minutes report about bloggers, or more accurately about an art exhibitions about some bloggers. The report was quite stupid (but OTOH, how do you want to tell the people in 2 minutes about what blogging really is *and* reporting about the exhibitions), talking about how bloggers are narcissistic and lonesome loonies, but that's what the artist told them, which makes it even worse ;)

But the reaction of the Swiss blogosphere (see links below) to that report made the whole story quite funny. Come on, Swiss bloggers, it's the media... I don't really expect an outside "journi" to tell the story how it really is. I read too many outlandish reports about topics I know something about. And blogging is quite a complex phenomenon for a journalist to grasp in the few hours he has to make a story..

But alas, as with every other religion, people get upset when someone talks something wrong about what they really believe in ;) And I'm sure, one day, SFDRS will bring a more accurate and longer story about bloggers in one of their shows... But the "Tagesschau" is certainly the wrong place for that.
