Oh my god! They try to run Java on top of a SGI Challenge. Do you think this is a perfect choice to get your feet wet with Java?

Mine booted too :-) but as I didn't have any 16amp plug here and the performance was so unimpressive, I thought I wouldn't ever use it again. (Ok, maybe as a case mod for a mini? ;-)I'll send you a scan of the original receipt which I got with mine - the price when it was new is just incredible.
