Deep down hidden on Apple's Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger Sneak Preview Pages published today is a hint, that iChat will support Jabber in the future. It's approx. in the middle of the OS X Server Sneak Preview page.
Just above the announcement, that the server comes with built-in weblog software ;) Sounds great, since I never liked the AIM affilitiation in the current iChat and always was a fan of Jabber. Unfortunately, Tiger's only out in the first half of 2005ā¦
Other cool new features coming with Tiger are Safari RSS (will hopefully lead to more RSS/Atom feeds, even if NetNewsWire still seems far more powerful), Video and Audio Conferencing with iChat AV and most promising Spotlight, āa radically new and lightning fast way to find anything saved on your personal computerā.
